High Horse Podcast 4 - Steve Cook (Clouded Vision)

"Steve is a guy constantly looking for his next musical high. From the age of 12 he used to go to work with his mother at the infamous 'Oscars' club in Essex just to sneak in and hear the DJs.

I met Steve 5 or 6 years ago and unlike a lot of others DJs in our home town, who were reaching out for that big gig in Ibiza one day, Steve just wanted to make more and more tunes. He played me so many tracks he had made from hip hop, house, drum and bass, hardcore, disco and even psych edits that it was time to get his sound out there.

We sat down together and talked 'acid'. The first track we came up with was called 'Saturation' that I sent to Tiga and he started to play straight away. He then asked us to remix Cari Lekebusch for Turbo and Clouded Vision's sound began to evolve.

Since then we have remixed a number of acts from Moby and Brodinski on Turbo, to up and coming bands The Golden Filter, Toob and We Have Band and even a disco legend, Johnny Dynell.

Clouded Vision's EP is very nearly finished with some exciting remixes from Photonz, 40 Thieves and Astronomer (one half of a certain DJ duo). In the mean time here is a short mix put together by Steve with some exclusive material and a couple of his current favourites."
